Last week someone close to me took his own life, unexpectedly. I wish I could have had this conversation with him before he made that fatal decision, but this conversation didn’t have a chance to happen.

Looking for a fun way to spend some meditative time in scripture? Bible Journaling is a fantastic way to connect with God while creating something beautiful in the process. Turning the pages of your Bible and seeing the beautiful images that accompany the verses that impact you most, is truly inspiring and sparks a wonderful sense of anticipation to opening up God’s Word.

But, oh what to do if you’re not the Rembrandt of Bible journalers that can pick up the pencil or pen and naturally create a beautiful picture or craftily hand letter your thoughts? Shall you suffer the fate of the artistically challenged, forever to live in the desert of colored pencil poverty? I think not! There are ways to have the Bible Journaling experience my friend. There are ways 🙂

Have you ever sat down with your Bible and not had a clue of what to do or where to start?  Ever wanted to study on your own without using a devotional or study book? Maybe you’re tired of just opening the Bible at random and putting your finger down on a passage looking for some revelation to hit you.  I don’t know about you, but coming up with what scripture I’m going to study on my own is sometimes like fumbling around in the dark (you know, like when you watch a scary movie or TV show and the good guy is walking into the dark, dark room with the bad guy lurking in the shadows—and you’re yelling, “Come on, turn on the light, turn on the light!!!”) Okay, maybe that’s a bit dramatic, but you get the picture.
