I remember being asked this by a friend and my answer was, “I think I’ll go to heaven. At least I hope so . . .”

A couple weeks ago our church did a VBS camp with 550 kids and over 200 volunteers–amazing!!! It challeneged me to be thinking about seeing God in the ordinary. Because I’m caring for my mom at this time of my life, I wasn’t able to serve, but I was so blessed on Sunday when I got to see the wall where kids could put up a note and share a “God sighting” that happened during the week. This one really touched my heart . . .

I’ve been thinking lately about Bible study tips for busy people–since I’m one of the busy! Every day there are so many things battling for my attention. My phone is right by my bed, so the temptation to grab that first thing in the morning and start checking messages, email or some other rabbit trail is very tempting. Can you relate?
Hey there friends 🙂 As many of you know, one of my favorite things to do is find creative ways to interact with scripture. Getting to the heart of a passage in such a way that is very personal really helps me hear God speak on an intimate level. It causes His words to stick! I want you and your kids to have that heart connection too, so I’m sharing a short post along with a couple printables that you and your kiddos can use.
Shocking, isn’t it? Me telling you to quit reading your Bible???? Indulge me and take a moment to meander through the possibilities.
Is eating a healthy diet important to God? Is going to God for weight loss a worthy prayer request? I’ve been doing some soul searching this year as I have once again noticed that the scale has been inching up. Can you relate? That’s why I put together “Top 30 Scriptures for Weight Loss Victory.” I have cleaned up my diet and attempted weight loss in the past with some mixed results, and rather than repeat those former mistakes, I’m approaching this quite a bit differently than I have in the past. And . . . it’s working!
Gluten-Free Gifts in a Jar Make Easy Gifts
Tis the season for gift giving and sharing from the kitchen. How about we combine the two and whip something up for our friends and family that comes all dressed up in a Mason Jar? This is an old standard with a twist for those on your list that are gluten and/or dairy-free. I have tried numerous gluten-free flours and have also made my own blends. But, I prefer to use two of Pamela’s products: Pamela’s Artisan Flour Blend and Pamela’s Pancake and Baking Mix. They are consistent in quality and perform very well. All of these recipes call for either one.

My heart is swelling as Christmas approaches. Besides Easter, it’s my favorite holiday, and during this season, I like to reflect on Jesus via a Christmas devotional or an advent calendar. This year my desire is no different; however, I decided to look at things from a slightly different perspective. It is one that came from the grateful heart of a father, and overflowed into a beautiful song of praise and thanksgiving. As you read this, it will change the way you view the Savior’s birth, as it is personalized specifically to YOU. Like this father of days gone by, your heart will overflow with thoughts of wonder, amazement and expectations . . . If you love Bible Journaling, I made some free printables if you scroll down to the bottom:)
